Who can fix your FURNACE? 02/24/2011
Well to answer the question above I would have to say Associated Services would be the one and only to fix your heating or cooling equipment, but let's be real here. We should only be out at your piece of equipment once a year for the annual tune-up. What I am talking about here is what can you do between your tune-ups to keep your furnace in tip top shape. We are just about 2/3rds of the way through are heating season and the service calls keep coming in for Furnaces either cycling or blowing constant fan. These are very common problems and for the most part can be remedied with a few simple steps by you the homeowner. Filters are easily forgotten about and are a vital part to a heating or cooling system. Filters protect all the internal parts of your heating or cooling system. I have heard someone say you should use your monthly electricity and gas bill to remind yourself to take a look at your filter. This is fitting because national average household utility bill is 60% caused by heating or cooling needs. Follow these steps below to keep your furnace chugging along during those cold winter months Here are the steps: 1. Get to know where your furnace filter is and what size it is. 2. Check it monthly 3. If you CAN'T see a little daylight through it CHANGE IT! 4. Keep and extra filter by the furnace 5. Enjoy a warm house during the winter if you follow these few preventative maintenance steps Plugged filters are probably 85% of the preliminary problems when we respond to a service call. So I guess a better question would be: Who can prevent there furnace from needing to be fixed? The answer: You CommentsLeave a Reply | AuthorChris Stark - Operations Manager for Associated Services.
